The sorting mentioned here refers to the process of grading the particle size, selecting the shape and performing magnetic separation of purified diamonds.
Usually, the process of dividing granular materials into several groups of particles with similar particle sizes according to their sizes is called particle size grading. The particle group here is what we call particle size. For each level of particle size, there are strict requirements for particle size and particle size composition. According to different standard regulations, it can be divided into different particle size ranges.
For example, according to the standard of GB/T 6406-1996, particles can be divided into 25 particle sizes according to their sizes. The size range of each particle size is represented by the size range of the nominal sieve aperture and is determined by the mesh sizes of two adjacent screens, the upper inspection screen and the lower inspection screen.
Each particle size is composed of coarse particles, basic particles and fine particles. Among them, coarse particles refer to the particle group between the upper and lower screens. The level of basic particle group content determines the relative stability degree of the composition of the particle size number. The higher the content of basic particles, the smaller the variable range of the particle size, indicating a higher degree of relative stability.
The particle size grading of diamond abrasives is carried out by mechanical vibration sieving method according to the standard regulations.
