• The Structure of Abrasive Tools:

The structure of abrasive tools refers to the volume proportion relationship among abrasive, bonding agent and pores that make up abrasive tools. A tool with less abrasive and a large porosity is called a loose structure. On the contrary, it is a dense structure. Abrasive tools with dense structure are suitable for fine grinding, forming grinding and processing workpieces with small allowance and high surface finish requirements. Abrasive tools with medium structure are widely used in grinding work of workpieces with general allowance. Abrasive tools with loose structure are suitable for grinding processes with large contact surfaces such as plane and inner circle, and for grinding workpieces sensitive to expansion and workpieces made of soft materials.
